Shadow theater in the festival center

Shadow theater is much older than cinema itself, but it works with the same means: In our shadow play workshop, participants can experiment with the technique of shadow theater.

They can experiment with their own shadows on several screens, enhanced by costumes or masks made of cardboard, fabric and tracing paper. The children’s shadow play will be filmed from the back of the screen and then edited into a short film, which will later be published on the Mo&Friese website.

In addition to two film mediators, a translator for German sign language will reliably supervise the workshop station and help the children to create the shadow templates.
