a costume installation
"Have you ever imagined being something other than human? Maybe a hybrid of a tree and a cat? What material would this character be made of? Does it have a special ability or maybe make a certain sound?"
These were the questions we asked participants in our MASKERADE workshop last fall. The video and costume artist Katharina Duve provided exciting insights into the world of costume design and the use of materials. With the help of green screen technology we brought seven fantasy creatures to life.
You can see the results of this exciting workshop in our installation in the festival center. Admission is free.
The opening will take place on May 29 at 4 pm. From June 1 till 6 you can admire the works daily from 11 am in the festival center "Post".

EiS for everyone! –
02.06.,18.00 Uhr | Festivalzentrum “POST”
In this event, it is with great pleasure that we introduce you to the EiS app (An inclusive language learning app).
The EiS app is a pocket dictionary for learning signs. Terms are explained through four elements: METACOM symbol, word, audio and sign video. The sign actors are children with and without disabilities.
Children and their social environment can use the EiS app to playfully learn a basic vocabulary of signs from the German Sign Language (DGS). In this way, everyone can make themselves understood, regardless of whether they can read, write, hear or speak. The shared "sign knowledge" supports communication and enables a more self-determined participation in education and society.
The EiS-App-Workshop addresses all interested people, educators, children and parents.
You will learn how the EiS app was created, you can try out the app and meet some of the signers in person. A teacher will show how she uses the app with her students and share ideas for teaching materials she has created from the EiS app.
We are happy to welcome the initiator Anke Schöttler as well as some of the participating children and welcome all interested people!
